Using the contained, balanced form of the circle and a magnified vein of my ancestors, I illuminated a fragment of my relationship with the evolutionary continuum. The wine coloured velvet depicts existence; the dyed silk threads, the edge of an evolutionary portal. The velvet was discharged with bleach through dried, crackled flour paste. I printed my ancestors’ pictures on thin dyed silk and wove the strips through the velvet. The two lines intersect where my immediate family is created and then a magnified me, the center of my own stone cast.
